Budget Season in Here! Please provide your input!

Board of Finance wants to hear your thoughts about the proposed budgets

At the March meeting both the Boards of Education and Selectmen will present their proposed 2024-2025 budgets to the Board of Finance. Over the next two months, the Board will be evaluating these budgets and determining what the Town can afford to spend. Citizen input is very important to this process. The Board of Finance wants to hear your voice. Are these budget increases acceptable to you? How much can you afford in additional taxes?

All Board of Finance meetings are open to the public, and there are two opportunities for citizen participation when you can ask questions or provide input. Copies of the proposed budgets will be available on the Town website.

The Board will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed budgets on April 25th. This is another time you can provide input and have your voice heard.

If you are unable to attend any of the Board of Finance meetings, feel free to email the chair, Margie Huoppi, at mhuoppi@att.net and offer your input about the Town's budget. After the budget the passed in May, it will be too late!
