The Pomfret Green Team's Community Film Series

 The Green Team hosts three environmentally thought-provoking films during the winter
months. These events are cosponsored by the Connecticut Audubon Society, Center at Pomfret and the Pomfret Library on a Monday evening in January, February, and March at 6:30 PM. Films are
followed by a brief discussion.

This year, all movies will be shown live at the Audubon Center, 218 Day Rd., Pomfret

Winter 2024

Plastic Earth
Monday, January 22 at 6:30 P.M.

This documentary looks at the plastic problem and innovative technologies and far-sighted
solutions being developed to confront it. A discussion follows the screening.

Brave Blue World
Monday, February 19 at 6:30 P.M.

Narrated by actor Liam Neeson, Brave Blue World considers what is being done to address
the world’s needs for access to clean water and effective sanitation services. A discussion
led by Marc Morgan from Casella Waste follows the screening.


Kiss the Ground
Monday, March 18, at 6:30 P.M.

This film focuses on the science of soil regeneration as the path towards climate
stabilization, ecosystems restoration, and abundant food supplies. Woody Harrelson
narrates. A discussion led by Adam and Courtney Squire, owners of Unbound Glory Farm in
Pomfret, follows the screening.
