Notice of Annual Meeting

The Legal voters and citizens qualified to vote at a meeting of the Pomfret Fire District are hereby asked to meet at the Pomfret Fire Station, 67 Hampton Rd, or to connect to ZOOM.com, on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. to act upon the following:

To hear and act upon the proposed budget of expenses $325,600.00 as prepared by the Board of Directors and to make the necessary appropriations for the year beginning July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

To levy a tax sufficient to meet the requirements of the district for running expenses.

To elect Board of Director members, 3 positions for a 3-year term and 2 Alternates for 1-year terms.

To make repairs to 3 dry hydrants at no more than $20,000.00 with the funds coming from the General Fund.

To make repairs to the Fire Station driveway and driveway sealing at a cost of no more than $25,000.00 with the funds coming from the General Fund.

To add gutters to the Fire Station addition at a cost of no more than $5,000.00 with the funds coming from the General Fund.

Contracted services with KB Ambulance increase $15,000.00 with funds coming from the General Fund.

To authorize the Board of Directors to fill any vacancies that may occur during the year.

To transact any other business proper to come before such meeting.
