The Town of Pomfret has contracted with Vision Government Solutions, Inc. to complete the town-wide revaluation of all real property in the Town of Pomfret effective for the October 1, 2024 Grand List as required by State Statute.

Vision Government Solution appraisers and data collectors performing field review and inspections will be wearing identification badges and possess written documentation clearly stating the purpose of their visit. Homeowners are encouraged to ask for identification prior to admitting anyone on/into the premises.  Current Data Collectors are:

Robert (Bob) Hutwelker driving a 2020 white Chevrolet Equinox with CT registration AS98765

Department Responsibilities:

  • The Office of the Assessor is responsible for discovering, listing, and valuing all real estate, business personal property, and motor vehicles as of October 1st of each year in accordance with Connecticut State Statutes. All property is assessed at 70% of its fair market value. The office also administers various exemption & abatement programs related to property taxes for veterans, low-income seniors and disabled.
