Electric Vehicles and Charging in Pomfret
Plug-in Electric Vehicles (EVs) are a great way for you to save money on gas and maintenance while reducing harmful tailpipe emissions and improve our community’s local air quality. Learn more about EVs and available incentives: EVConnecticut - EV Benefits
The Town of Pomfret owns and operates electric vehicle charging stations at several locations to make it easier for any resident to affordably “fuel” their EV, as well as providing opportunities for visitors to charge. These stations were installed in 2024 with funds provided by a state grant and collect a fee for use that offsets the cost of electricity, operation and maintenance.
